On September 13th the Athens Rotary Foundation will be holding its 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Athens Country Club. The proceeds raised from this event help to fund the projects benefitting children that we support in Athens County.
As you might recall, The Athens Rotary Foundation has been active in our community for over twenty years. We built a handicapped-accessible playground at the City’s South Side Park, and supported the rebuilding of the Athens Bulldog football field and stadium. We also donated $50,000 each to Stuart’s Opera House, The Dairy Barn and the Southeast Ohio History Center. We also support our local schools and provide yearly college scholarships. Our Foundation is very involved in many other activities within our county. Our Foundation has no administrative expenses; all money flows directly to our projects.
